Beer
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin
"I may not believe in God, but I believe in Benjamin Franklin." - Ryan Hatch
I find it very odd that I like beer. Up until about a year ago I did not care for it much, preferring tequila and gin when I drank. But one day I tipped back a Saranac Black Forest at a party and something clicked. I decided to investigate. A year later I am shopping at Beers of the World, and brewing my own batches with my good friend Rob. Below you can find out what Rob and I have been brewing, my recommendations, and what I have tried or am planning to try. If you have a recommendation please e-mail me and let me know! Bottoms up!
The R&R Barton Street Brewery:
See what Rob and I have been up to:
- Batch 001 - Baby Brittan, a Dark Amber Ale with Nugget Hops
- Batch 002 - Wise Ass Weissen, a Heavy German Weizenbier/Weissbier (wheat ale) with Hallertau Hops
- Batch 003 - A strong India Pale Ale aged with oak chips.
- Batch 004 - Brewmeister Decimator, an insanely thick version of German Dopplebock with Hallertau hops.
- Batch 005 - A fairly light wheat ale with honey, fresh grated ginger, and Cascade hops.
